Born in the small town of Aldershot in England, it soon became clear that I had an ability for drawing and telling funny stories. The television and cinema had a great influence on me which inevitably led my studying graphic design and illustration at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art & Design (now Bournemouth University).
Having gained my qualifications, I established myself in the Bournemouth area as freelance illustrator and graphic designer before moving to London in 1986.
In 1989 after calling a wrong number, I fell into my first job in animation as a layout artist on a children's TV series THE DREAMSTONE for CITV (Martin Gates Productions) then on to CAPTAIN ZED AND THE ZEE ZONE for CITV (Collingwood O'Hare Ent.) where I gained some experience working abroard in an American studio (DIC).
Following my first adventure in Hollywood I returned to the UK and moved on to storyboarding and writing for numerous popular children's TV series.
My writing credits include NODDY IN TOYTOWN for Chammel 5 (PBS), POSTMAN PAT SDS for CBBC, SHAUN THE SHEEP for CBBC (Aardman Animations), BOBLINS for Australian/Canadian TV (Inspire GLG) and THE ANIMALS OF FARTHINGWOOD/NOAH'S ISLAND for CBBC (telemagination).
My storyboard credits include CHARLIE AND LOLA for (Playhouse Disney) and CBBC (Tiger Aspect Productions), WILLO THE WISP for Playhouse Disney, MUFFIN THE MULE for CBBC (Blue Fish Productions), ANGELINA BALLERINA for CITV (Grand Slam Children's Films) and The Annecy award-winning THE LAST POLAR BEAR for ITV (Telemagination).
As an art director and designer, I worked on OSCAR'S ORCHESTRA and HARRY AND HIS BUCKET FULL OF DINOSAURS(Collingwood O'Hare Ent) and WIGGLY PARK for CBBC (Telemagination).
In 2001 I co-created ANIMAL STORIES for CITV and Disney, which won a Bafta.
Currently I am the creator and Creative Director of Playhouse Disney's animated preschool series, JUNGLE JUNCTION produced by Spidereye productions in Cornwall.
Having worked 22 years in London I moved recently to Cornwall to work on JUNGLE JUNCTION still maintaining a studio in London.
